The hiring company is a leading international financial services group with global headquarters in Toronto and operate across offices in Canada, Asia, and Europe.

Role Context

• Agile Coach or a Senior Scrum Master who can clearly demonstrate Agile coaching skills and competencies with real-world work experience in this capacity – not just theory, courses, or an academic certification.
• An Agile Coach with 1 to 2+ years of experience in a full Agile Coach role who would like to make a greater impact through influence, contributing to the coaching strategy and strong execution skills
• An Agile Coach who has experience working with multiple teams/squads and can juggle the demanding role of developing new-to-agile practitioners and supporting their growth
• A strong communicator who possess effective communication and presentation skills

• Act as an Agile champion for Digital Enterprise and teams in Canada within the Agile Excellence Domain
• Help stand up new Agile teams and provide consulting and coaching to these teams to support their development and ongoing improvements to become self-organizing, self-managing and highly functional. This includes supporting the development of Hub leaders, Product Owner, Scrum Master and the the development team
• Facilitate an environment of continuous improvement and adoption of agile/scrum practices
• Provide coaching on how to prioritize and manage items in the backlog and maintain a backlog 3 to 4 sprints ahead
• Promote the Agile culture and mindset throughout the organization. This includes leading teams and influencing leaders and partners as they learn and adopt Agile practices by supporting them through coaching, mentoring, facilitating and teaching
• Contribute to the developing Agile Community through workshops, seminars, CoP’s, etc…
• Promote the use of DevOps technical practices and tools
• Coordinate with other teams and coaches, facilitate preparation for Quarterly Increment Planning, and support the Agile Release Train estimates for larger features and capabilities
• Provide the educational support to the organization on Agile principles and Scrum/ Kanban practices or any additional Agile techniques to increase the Company-wide execution, innovation and overall maturity
• Make recommendations to the Lead Coach and contribute to the development and execution of the overall coaching strategy
• Provide insight and story telling using squad metrics/measurements to articulate progress

Ideal Candidate

• You are a disciplined expert in Agile practices (Scrum, SAFe, and/or Kanban)
• 1 to 2+ years of coaching experience in Agile delivery / transformation / training / coaching.
• A test and learn attitude, a bias for action, a passion to innovate and a willingness to learn.
• Expert facilitator with mentoring, training and teaching experience
• Influencing skills in one on one scenarios and within a group. Uses emotional intelligence and humility to understand what motivates people to act.
• An exceptional degree of self-awareness and contextual awareness
• Collaborator in cross-functional teams on technology, design, business, and operations
• Organizational change management orientation
• Understanding of the difference between consulting, training, mentoring, coaching and knowing when to apply each
• Hands-on experience and previous accountability for delivery outcomes using Agile practices
• Commitment to grow as an Agile Coach through continually improving your own skills and approaches
• Proven ability to deliver significant improvements in self-managed Agile teams through application of coaching techniques
• Undergraduate degree or college diploma in a Business discipline
• Agile Certifications – SAFe, PMI-ACP, PMI-DAC, ICC-ACC, ICP-CAT, ICP-ENT, PSM ,CSM, CSPO or other Agile certification
